About Me
Hello! I’m Anton Bil, a passionate programmer and former lecturer & researcher based in Gapinge (Netherlands). After a satisfying career in academia and research, I now dedicate my time to my hobbies: developing applications, creating websites with WordPress, and exploring new technologies.
My Background
For many years, I had the privilege of working as a lecturer at HZ University of Applied Sciences in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. In my later role there, I focused on research and software development, allowing me to dive deep into various programming languages and platforms.
Technical Expertise
Throughout my career and personal projects, I’ve gained hands-on experience with a diverse set of technologies, including:
- Programming Languages: Python, C#, Java
- Web Technologies: MediaWiki (including Semantic MediaWiki), WordPress development
- Game Development: Unity
- Simulation Software: AnyLogic
- And a general passion for: Application Development and exploring new software challenges.
Current Focus & Projects
Since retiring, my enthusiasm for coding hasn’t waned! I enjoy the creative process of building useful tools, experimenting with web development (particularly within the WordPress ecosystem), and contributing to open-source projects.
